Jupiter or Guru(Teacher) or Brihaspati (Lord of Prayer & Devotion)
What is Jupiter in Vedic Astrology?
Briefly explained straight from my heart!
Jupiter is the teacher, the natural PutraKaraka (the significator of children). Jupiter is also the karaka of wealth and wisdom. Jupiter is the biggest planet in our solar system hence, it relates to growth and expansion. Jupiter is the most natural benefic planet amongst all. The teaching nature of Jupiter manifests itself in honesty, higher knowledge, wealth, dignity, wisdom, good patron, philosophy, consultancy, honor and lifelong learning.
If you have a powerful Jupiter in your natal birth chart then, it gives you immense luck, health, happiness, power and social status. It makes you friendly and cheerful. Since Jupiter is the greatest benefic, it has very little negative influence if placed weak. It may make you extravagant, lazy and overly optimistic. Jupiter is the day lord of Thursday. The best remedy to strengthen the Jupiter is to eat a balanced and healthy diet. Find yourself a mentor and respect all your teachers. Here are some insight on its relationships and rulership.
